This is another digital illustration of a C-130H by Michael Brooks. This drawing features a Black Chrome stylized Herk, tail number 92-1536. This aircraft (and it's sister, 1535) have been C-130 test beds for the 8-bladed, NP-2000 propeller.
Mike Brooks was raised in central Wisconsin. Shortly after graduating high school, he enlisted in the Air Force. Being an Airman with no car and little money, gave Mike plenty of time to draw and sketch. His time in overseas exposed him to wonderful works of art found in places like the National Gallery in London and the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel in Italy. Despite the influence of Renaissance Masters, Mike soon found himself in college pursuing a degree in business. Too many classes and competing priorities left little time for creative play, but Mike became inspired when he met renowned aviation artist Rick Broome.
