Artist's Description
Alarm Red - Open Edition with a firefly blue matting and descriptive text. I created the original Alarm Red painting in an inconvienent set of dimensions. It basically required a custom frame. This simulated matting allows you choose a more normal sized frame (24" x 36"). The extra space on the bottom is perfect of engraved plaques, coins or patches.
About Michael Brooks
Mike Brooks was raised in central Wisconsin. Shortly after graduating high school, he enlisted in the Air Force. Being an Airman with no car and little money, gave Mike plenty of time to draw and sketch. His time in overseas exposed him to wonderful works of art found in places like the National Gallery in London and the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel in Italy. Despite the influence of Renaissance Masters, Mike soon found himself in college pursuing a degree in business. Too many classes and competing priorities left little time for creative play, but Mike became inspired when he met renowned aviation artist Rick Broome. Rick's love of aviation and art really gave Mike a new life perspective and Rick became a mentor of sorts. Despite...
